Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute on Rare Isotopes The Pan-American Advanced Study Institute on the physics and astrophysics of rare nuclear isotopes will be held from August 1 to August 13 2010 in the Tropical Tambau Hotel in Joao Pessoa, Brazil. Given the major advances in rare iostope physics in recent years, and the anticipation of major new facilities around the world, the goals of this PASI are: * Disseminate knowledge in the physics and astrophysics of rare isotopes to participants across the Americas, including students and postdocs * Stimulate training and cooperation among physicists of the Americas * Contribute to broadening participation in the field of rare isotope research. The Institute is open to scientists from all countries and at all levels (student to faculty) who are interested in further advancing their knowledge in rare isotope science, who are interested in scientific exchange in this area, and who are interested in contributing to the goals of the institute. Some financial assistance will be available for selected participants to facilitate participation - information about the application process will be posted soon.
