Mechanical Design Engineer - Aberdeen - Up to 45k
Progressive Recruitment have been tasked with sourcing a Mechanical Design Engineer for a client based in South Aberdeen. Specialising in the design of downhole equipment, this client is looking for someone with the following Qualifications/Skills: - A degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Relevant experience in downhole tooling design. - Experience of modelling with Pro Engineer design software. - Experience in using FEA (Pro Mechanica preferred). Your main duties are listed below: - Create engineering designs including documentation to facilitate manufacture, drawings (Pro-E), bills of materials and material specifications - Provide technical and drawing access support as part of a small group of design engineers to local operations and sales teams - Analyse output from simulations, draw conclusions and give recommendations - Presentation of design solutions to peers and clients As part of a small engineering team, you will support the operating segments of the business; thus enabling you to move your career forward quickly.
